Ben East presenting at Green Register event

Our Director, Ben East, will be presenting at a Green Register online training event on 8th March: “Choosing the right ventilation system for your project”. He’ll be talking about MVHR from the contractor’s perspective, covering the various MVHR systems on the market; best practice; what to do and what to avoid.

Our friends Ian Mawditt and Vince House will also be presenting. Here’s more info from the event web page:

This two-hour online training session will feature perspectives of the client, contractor and supplier: a case study of MVHR installation into an existing building, a contractor’s perspective on MVHR and focus on Demand Control Ventilation systems and post occupancy reports.

Some nine years on from the installation of an MVHR installation in his Bristol retrofit, owner and building researcher Ian Mawditt shares his views on the different aspects of the installation. Ian will give a brief overview of the whole build and then specifically why he chose an MVHR ventilation system rather than other options. He will talk briefly about the design process and the pros and cons of installing MVHR into an existing building.

Builder/contractor Ben East will present the contractor’s perspective on MVHR: best practice, what to do and what to avoid.

Finally, Vince House of Aereco will talk about Demand Control Ventilation systems as well as post occupancy data and results from the Thamesmead project that he was involved with. The work carried out at the Thamesmead estate in London featured successful implementation of a ground breaking and award-winning Condensation, Damp and Mould (CD&M) Strategy devised by Dr Peter Rickaby.

This training session will have Q&A breaks to allow participants to ask questions of the speakers.
