Once your MVHR system has been installed, it will need to be commissioned in order to operate effectively, as per the MVHR designs, and to satisfy Building Control. This ensures that the system is balanced, that the various rooms are ventilated correctly and that you maximise the heat recovery benefits of the system. MVHR Commissioning is carried out by one of our highly skilled engineers who hold a BPEC qualification.

How long does MVHR Commissioning take?
Commissioning usually takes around a day for systems with a single MVHR unit. Systems with an additional unit usually take an extra day to complete.
When does it need to happen?
Commissioning needs to happen right at the end of your project, just before you move in. Please discuss your exact timing requirements with us as we will always work with you to find the best solution to your individual project deadlines.
What will happen on the day?
Our engineer will balance all the air flows of your system and make sure they are set up as per the MVHR Design criteria. We use specialist equipment such as a hot wire anemometer for highly accurate measurements.
Our engineer will carry out a full hand over with you, which will involve showing you how to operate the system, and running through general maintenance requirements.
At the end of the process we will send you a certificate and report for your records and for Building Control, and we will provide any information on manufacturer warranties.
