At Earthwise we offer a professional Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) service throughout England & Wales, and have an in-house dedicated team offering design, supply, installation, commissioning and servicing.

We installed our first MVHR system over 14 years ago, and since then we have seen a huge increase in demand in this area. People are becoming more aware of the huge benefits of MVHR on energy consumption, heating bills and in reducing their carbon footprint. MVHR creates excellent indoor air quality by filtering out pollutants and pollen. In addition, with Covid 19 now being part of our lives, it allows occupants to feel safe with a constant supply of fresh air without compromising on energy efficiency by needing to open windows.

We have a selection of working MVHR units on display in our Bristol-based showroom. If you’d like to arrange a visit to our showroom, contact us here.

Why choose Earthwise for MVHR?

Many years of experience

We have over 14 years’ experience in MVHR, installing it in our own construction projects and as a standalone service in other people’s sustainable building projects. This has given us an in-depth and holistic understanding of how MVHR works.

One-stop-shop

We are a one-stop-shop for MVHR, offering design, supply, installation, commissioning and servicing. You can hand over the entire MVHR element of your build to us, and we are happy to liaise directly with your site team if you’d like us to. Alternatively, you can use us for one or two elements as required. Unlike most of our competitors (who use subcontractors for installation and commissioning, or don’t offer installation at all) we provide a bespoke in-house service, using our own carefully selected employed staff to complete the design, installation, commissioning and servicing, guaranteeing quality and continuity of service.

National coverage

We work across England and Wales.

Construction expertise gives us holistic knowledge

Unlike many ventilation companies, we are also sustainable construction specialists, with our own in-house team of highly skilled tradespeople. This gives us a holistic view of how your ventilation system sits within your entire project, whether a new build or renovation. Our extensive experience of installing MVHR within our own building projects over the years means that we understand what it’s like on the ground during the build, and how and when your ventilation system needs to be fitted within the project. We also understand that things can change on site, and we have the expertise to be able to work with you to make the right decisions on site for your project to be a success. See our Portfolio page for examples of projects where we have installed the MVHR system.

Partnered with Zehnder

We are one of only a few Service Partners for Zehnder, the top MVHR manufacturer on the market. As a Zehnder Service Partner we can offer the full range of Zehnder components at competitive prices. They trust us to install their systems because of our extensive experience and knowledge.

Best quality MVHR units

We are stockists for three of the best performing MVHR units on the market, each of which has been independently tested and certified by the Passive House Institute. We stock:

Zehnder units (up to 96% heat recovery)

– Ubbink units (up to 91% heat recovery)

Lindab units (Up to 89% heat recovery)

We don’t offer a budget option for MVHR because we have seen every type of unit around and know that installing ‘cheap and cheerful’ (or ‘plastic fantastic,’ as we call them!) units is a false economy. We have seen how cheap units don’t stand the test of time and end up costing you more money in the long run (we know this because we have been asked to replace many such units over the years!). If MVHR is out of your budget, or you can’t fit it in your building, a great alternative is Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV).

Best quality ducting

We only offer high quality ducting solutions, whether for steel branch systems or semi rigid radial systems.

Passive House best practice

If you choose to appoint us to install your MVHR system, you can rest assured that it will be carried out in line with Passive House/Passivhaus best practice standards. We are Passive House qualified tradespeople so we really know our stuff when it comes to Passive Houses.

BPEC installer trained

All of our installers have completed the BPEC installer training scheme, which ensures that your system performs as designed, is silent and works efficiently.
